What is Tully?

Tully is a legal AI app that explains U.S. law in plain English. You ask a question about your rights — by typing or by voice — and Tully answers in everyday language, citing the statutes and official government sources the answer comes from so you can read the law itself. It is built by Tully Inc. and is available on iPhone and Android.

How Tully’s legal AI works

Tully identifies the topic and the U.S. state from your question, finds the laws that apply, and explains them in clear language with citations you can check. Where the rules differ by state — housing, employment, family matters — you get the rules for your state. It covers all 50 states and the District of Columbia, and it reads official sources at the moment you ask rather than relying on a stale copy of the law.

Questions people ask Tully

Eviction notices and security deposits, unpaid wages and workplace rights, custody paperwork, contracts, traffic tickets, small claims, and what to do when police or immigration officers ask for something. If it’s a legal question about your situation, you can start by asking it in your own words.

Legal information, not legal advice

Tully is not a law firm and does not give legal advice, and using it does not create an attorney-client relationship. It helps you understand what the law says so you know your options and what to ask. For advice about your specific situation, speak with a licensed legal professional in your state. Read the full legal disclaimer.

Privacy

Your questions are encrypted in transit and at rest, never sold, and never used for advertising. You can delete your data and your account at any time. See the privacy policy for exactly what is collected and which providers help run the service.
